In March I decided to go to London. I had never been there and it was high on my citytrip-list. I was lucky to be hosted by a couple hotels, one of which was Courthouse Hotel London. It's a beautiful luxury hotel on Marlborough Street, in the heart of London.
The location of the hotel is phenomenal ; Marlborough street is one of the busiest streets, close by Oxford street, Picadilly and right across Carnaby Street. There isn't a better location to discover London.
The first thing you see when you enter is the beautiful lobby. I love how luxurious everything is: the shiny floor, the seats in the most beautiful fabric, the accessories, ... The staff is super friendly which is a big plus. Definitely my favourite part of the hotel!
The room was spacious, with the bed as the focus point and there was a big tv, a desk and little makeup table. There were facilities available to have tea or coffee in your own room, which is something I loved. The bathroom was beautiful and clean and honestly the only downside i could find was that the hair dryer and plug in the bathroom were broken, which is a minor negative. The bathrobes with the signature of the hotel were a nice touch, along with some matching slippers that were placed in one of the 2 closets. Enough space to hang all your clothes or store your suitcase. Love it !
Downstairs next to the lobby you can find a cute little bar. The setting and interior are absolutely stunning, the blue velvet chairs are just goals. The bar is perfect when you don't feel like going out but still want to grab something to drink. The hotel even has a rooftop bar! Perfect for when the weather is nice but unfortunately it was raining when I got there.
There is a spa downstairs with a sauna, pool and space to relax. Access is free for the guests of the hotel, so nice! It is also possible to book a massage or other treatments.
The most important part of all : breakfast!
It was good but to be honest I expected more from a 5 star hotel.
Overall the location of the hotel was the most remarkable thing as was the beautiful lobby.
Disclaimer Even though I was hosted by Courthouse Hotel London all opinions are my own and the review was honest in every way. If you would like to see more head over to http://www.courthouse-hotel.com/ or the booking.com link.
